Some Girls Do
Some Girls Do by Jennifer Dugan
If you want a nice teen romance, try this!
Track star Morgan moves to a new school in her senior year when being openly gay goes against her Catholic school's code of conduct. At her new school she meets Ruby who is firmly in the closet even to herself. Ruby loves working on her classic car and competes in beauty pageants to keep her mom happy.
The two fall for each other and it's so sweet! Ruby wants to hide their relationship but Morgan is done hiding who she is. The characters are likeable and relatable.
The story is told from alternating perspectives. Tough topics covered but a sweet story.
