Spin With Me

By: Ami Polonsky

Spin With Me is an adorable coming of age exploration of discovering yourself and your identity as a young teen. Told from the perspective of both Essie (a young girl grappling with understanding both her parents' divorce and her romantic orientation) and Ollie (a nonbinary 13 year old with a passion for advocacy so strong they need a reminder to be something outside their identity) this book tells the story of first love and the confusing feelings that come along with being a teenager. It's an easily digestible exploration of gender and sexuality for those that may be new to these concepts, while still telling a wholesome story with characters that are full of life and true to what it really feels like to be 13.
